These are some sights that were too funny to pass up this week.

Madilyn has been carrying her plastic green riding horse (without a head) from Ikea around from room to room and riding on it. She’s strong!

This week Jeff’s school had its homecoming, so each day was a different “dress-up” day. Tuesday was tacky day so Jeff wore this loud shirt. Madilyn wore it after Daddy got home!

Wednesday was “character” day so Jeff wore this bear hat. Don’t worry, by the time he left for school, he did have a shirt on.

I hit the Southern Women’s Show Friday and met up with some friends from church, the DeVores. It was crowded and I didn’t see very much that was interesting. But it was a nice diversion, and I really enjoyed hanging out with friends!

Jeff, Madilyn and I checked out the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival today. We saw our friend Brandee who works on Park Ave and then saw a man playing a guitar and didgeridoo. He made faces at Madilyn. She was fascinated with the music.

We went to the beach Friday night with our good friends, the Hawthornes, and took pictures of each others’ families. Then they treated us to a great meal at a local fish place. We ate outside and enjoyed the cool breeze. A divine evening!

We went to Greekfest with Gordy and Alison Saturday, followed by Babies R Us, where they registered for their upcoming baby shower. At Greekfest, we hit the food right away, starting with Gyros and fries, followed by Greek donuts and a few baklava from the bakery that we took home. We also took a look at the ornate sanctuary and enjoyed a little show from the young Greek dancers.

Madilyn and I joined other moms and kids from church for a morning at the Sanford Zoo. They have a cool splash pad and Madilyn loved playing in the water. She liked the animals too. She had a hard time seeing some of the smaller animals in the big cages because of all the trees, but she loved the bigger animals. She referred to most of them as “dog-dog.” Too cute!

Oh, and Madilyn wore a dress with ladybugs on it (a b-day gift from Manisha, I believe) because what’s more fun appropriate than looking at animals when you’re wearing ladybugs?
